Sumter, SC .............. Christina May Baker Wodicka, age 44, wife of 26 years to Emil Phillip Wodicka Jr., passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018 at her residence.
Born in Flint, MI., she was a daughter of Hobert Allen Baker and Jackoline Abbott Baker. Christina was an active member of Our Lady of the Skies Catholic Church, Shaw AFB, where she taught religious education. She worked as a third grade school teacher at Pocallo Elementary School and was a coach for the Pocallo Springs in Action running club. She was a very supportive scouting mom and she loved to spend time working in her garden as well as relaxing in her pool. Christina loved the color orange, but especially loved orange M&Ms;. She will be remembered as a very loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving in addition to her husband and parents are; two sons, Emil P. Wodicka III and his wife Rebecca of Clinton, Utah and Alexander Wodicka of Dalzell; two daughters, Samantha Albright and her husband Sean of Plant City, FL and Hannah Wodicka of Dalzell and three brothers, James Baker and his wife Ronda, Thomas Baker and his wife Patty and Brandon Baker and his wife Andrea all of Vassar, MI. In addition, there are nineteen nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Wodicka was preceded in death by a nephew, Nathaniel Hamilton Wayne Baker and grandparents, Delphine and William Abbott.
A mass of Christian memorial will take place on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Skies Catholic Church, Shaw AFB with Msgr. Mark Rowan officiating.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, from 6-8 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Archdiocese For The Military Services, USA, P.O. Box 4469, Washington, DC 20017.
