Myrtle Beach, SC…Veronica Stewart Alletto (Ronnie), age 80, beloved wife of the late William J. Alletto, died on Wednesday, January 3, 2017 at the Embrace Hospice House.
Born in Long Island, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Mary Jaeger. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for over 25 years. She was an accomplished cook and baker and was a lifetime New York Yankees fan. “ Ronnie” volunteered with the American Heart Association and was a Mentor with: Loris Elementary, Kids Hope USA and to so many others who called her “Nana.” She was a long time member of the St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church of North Myrtle Beach.
Surviving are: two daughters, Donna McElveen and husband Stan of Conway, SC, and Bonnie Loglisci and her husband Joseph of Southbury, CT; one brother, John Stewart of Homosassa, FL; one sister, Anna Jaeger of Lindenhurst, NY; eight grandchildren, Maureen Sullivan, Pamela Traylor Bleakley, Anna Traylor, Sean Kravit, Patrick Loglisci, Zoey Loglisci, Marquese Powell, and Jarquese Powell; and two great grandchildren, Caroline and Grayson.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah and her sister, Doris.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 801 11th Avenue North, North Myrtle Beach, SC with Father Wilmot Merchant officiating. The interment will be held at a later date in Florida.
