Dalzell, SC.... Mark Charles Goldstein, age 73, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at his residence.
Mark spent his childhood in Melbourne, FL, and after graduation, he joined the US Air Force. After retirement from the Air Force, he worked for Palmetto GBA at Blue Cross Blue Shield of SC. He also served as coordinator for “Pot Luck” meals for the Shaw AFB Chapel for many years.
Mark was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, and actively participated in the Seekers Sunday School Class as well as the adult choir. He was also a devoted fan of the South Carolina Gamecocks, Carolina Pnathers and Boston Red Sox. In addition to being a sports fan, he much enjoyed cooking for others.
Mark is survived by his wife, Kathy Long Goldstein; three daughters, Megan, Candace, and Samantha Goldstein; two stepdaughters, Bethany and Maryn Long; two sisters, Suzanne Goldstein, and Marsha Goldstein; three grandchildren, Harmony, Libby, and Atticus Buckley, and a nephew, Ben Goldstein.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Jean Goldstein, and a twin brother, Stephen Goldstein.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at 3:00 pm at Aldersgate United Methodist Church with Rev. Laura Whitt officiating.
The family will receive friends, one hour prior to the service on Sunday, April 14, 2024, from 2:00 – 3:00 pm at Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
